Summary of Lodge FAcilities
Porters Alpine Lodge is purpose designed and built to best meet the needs of skiing families.
Families come on in after a hard day on the slopes, hang wet gear up in the drying room, maybe put the thermals on to wash ready for tomorrow and then just relax. With no dinner to prepare - it's all about chilling out and nowhere better than in the relaxing lounge area. The kids will probably make new friends in the games room or stay closer to you and the roaring fire. After dinner you might want to look to trying out a heated bath under the stars.
Bedrooms are a permanent bunk style all with wooden slat bases.
- three rooms have 2 double bunks & 2 single bunks
- one room has 6 single bunks
- two rooms have 9 single bunks
- one room has 1 double bed & 2 single bunks
- maximum of 46 guests sleeping in 39 beds.
Bedding provided (groups by arrangement) includes a fluffy feather duvet, cosy flannelette sheets, pillow and towel. The rooms are all warmed with electric heaters until lights out then automatically start up again in the morning when the generator is restarted.
The commercial kitchen area is fully equipped to cater for a crowd. The domain of the Lodge Managers during the ski season.
The dining area has five long large tables with bench seating that comfortably seats everyone in the Lodge
A canteen is stocked with a few snack items for purchase
Washing & Drying facilities
Commercial laundry washing machine and dryer are available for use.
Bathroom facilities are shared. One for the males, another for the females. Hot water is unlimited when the generator is running :)

storage & Workshop facilities
The main entrance area has shelves to store outdoor footwear and indoor slippers.
A workshop/storage area is attached to the Lodge by a covered entrance. Includes a workbench with vice; room to store skiis and boards; and even a few bikes in the summer.
A small unheated closed porch is fitted with shelves to store any snack food bought into the Lodge by members and guests.
A large carpark area is situated 30 meters from the Lodge. If conditions allow you can drive and drop your bags at the door. The few spaces immediately by the Lodge are reserved.
